1. What is Community Transport?
Community Transport is a response by the government
to the shortfall of available public transport in rural areas. This
includes:
- People who live off the main transport routes
- Young people who have no access to public transport
- People with disabilities who need accessible transport
- Community groups with limited funding who have transport needs
- People in rural areas with limited access to health care services

2. What is Flexibus?
Flexibus is the community transport service for
the county of Meath and beyond. It was established by an appointed
committee (Meath Accessible Transport) under the Rural Transport
Initiative (RTI).

3. Who can avail of Flexibus?
Anybody - Flexibus aims to serve as many people
as possible regardless of any disadvantage whether is it social, physical,
economic, or geographic. This includes:
- Older people
- Young people
- Parents with children
- People with disabilities
- Community groups

4. What Flexibus services are available?
Flexibus operates a broad range of services. These
include:
- Weekly services to access pension, shopping and
hospitals etc.
- Services to access active retirement groups.
- Services for groups to attend activities.
- Cinema services from rural areas.
- Daily services to access education, employment
and training.
- Monthly services to Blanchardstown and Dundrum
- Services for disability groups
- Individual services to access health appointments

5. How much does it cost?
All regular routes have set fares available on this website. Please
ring the office at 046 9074830. All pre school children travel free,
all school children travel at half price. For those who hold a Free
Travel Pass it costs nothing to access the regular public services. On
chartered services or once off trips, there is a nominal charge for everybody,
including F.T.P. holders. Prices for chartered trips are available on
request. If you wish to hire any of buses, drivers or passenger
assistants please contact the office for prices.

6. What are the advantages of Flexibus?
The advantages of Flexibus are:
- We accept Free Travel Pass
- We pick up door to door on request
- If a regular service is needed in your area, we will provide one
- We will plan our service to suit you or your community
